Education & Volunteer Hours Reporting

First of all, thank you for sharing your education and volunteer hours! Not only is education required to stay up to date on research-based information, but knowing how many volunteer hours each of you put in can help the program continue to receive support and funding. Feel free to log your hours as frequently or infrequently as you'd like. You can log your hours monthly, every 6 months, or at the end of the calendar year. Whatever works best for you is more than welcome. Just don't forget to get your hours for 2017 in before January 15th, 2018. If you have any questions at all, please contact info@mntca.org.

Volunteer Hours

If you are a part of any Minnesota Tree Care Advocate Program, here is your hub for submitting volunteer hours. If you are a Tree Care Advisor, stick around and answer the first few questions about how you spent your time volunteering. If you are a Citizen Pruner, skip right ahead to the Citizen Pruner section and enter your hours and/or pruning data there. If you are a Tree Steward, skip ahead to the Pruning, Watering and/or Monitoring Health sections to share more about your work.

2017  Volunteer Hours Reporting

To stay an active Tree Care Advisor, make sure to complete 25 hours of volunteerism each year under the forestry umbrella. If you are a Citizen Pruner or Tree Steward, you are required to complete 10 hours of volunteerism each year to stay active.

Education Hours

If you are a Tree Care Advisor that is looking to report education hours, look no further. You can access the new Education Hours Form to enter any and all hours for 2017. Yes, this form only asks for one education entry at one time. However, once you submit the form, look for 'Submit Another Response' to share about the additional Education Hours that you need to submit.

2017 Tree Care Advisor Education

To stay an active Tree Care Advisor, make sure to complete 4 hours of education each year from a reputable organization that provides research-based information under the forestry umbrella. For more information on what education applies, check out the Become a TCA page.
